Listening to Low-Life (a thing I just did) always leaves me with the same two questions:
1. Why did Substance have to be all the 12” versions? Thanks to Substance I sometimes lie awake at night worried that there are people in the world who have either forgotten or else never knew that New Order were a rock band. See also Bizarre Love Triangle, the album version of which is so underappreciated I can’t even find it on YouTube — although there are 300 terrible cover versions by people who think it’s somehow surprising or innovative to do “acoustical” versions of it.
2. Face Up: sleeper favorite New Order song? Very possible.
